This popular event named after a border ballad from the 1430's is an opportunity to ride the superb, tarmacked roads on the Otterburn military ranges with the best views in Northumberland.

The rest of the route starting on the Military road by Hadrians wall plus the North Tyne and Upper Coquet valleys makes a ride popular with local cycle clubs and keen cyclists.

Controls at Stonehaugh Village Hall , Falstone tearooms, Elsdon Cyclists Cafe and Wedder Leap picnic area in upper Coquetdale.
We provide support at all stops and homebaking at two of the four stops.

The route is on lightly trafficked roads and you will be supplied with GPS track files plus detailed route instructions.

You have 13.5 hours until 21:30 to complete this event returning to a warm welcome and meal at Walbottle Campus Sports Pavilion
Although a challenging route we always get a high number of finishers.

The event is organised under Audax UK regulations. Entry is £12 for AUK or Cycling UK members and for all others £15 with AUK insurance
